After 40 years of serving our community, we have made a difficult decision to close our business. Our final day of operation will be Sunday, December 22nd.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal customers and dedicated staff for their unwavering support and patronage over the years. Your trust and commitment have been the cornerstone of our success and we cherish the relationships we have built.

Visit Master Chef Otto at our first-class sushi bar and let him prepare your favorite sushi dish or order one of his specialty creations. Our well-informed staff will be delighted to make recommendations to ensure that you have a memorable dining experience.

Complete any meal with a signature cocktail or a selection from our award-winning wine list. Emphasizing American vintages, Skipjack’s frequently updates its wine lists and prides itself on offering many types of wine that are unavailable elsewhere in the city. Our Story

Skipjack’s was named after a type of tuna, indigenous to the Pacific, which is known for tenacity and strength. Owner Jeff Senior chose the name to reflect his vision of the restaurant known for its aggressive pursuits of the highest quality product. From the beginning more than 30 years ago, Skipjack’s has been devoted to introducing Bostonians to a wide variety of the freshest seafood from around the world and offering it at the best prices.

First opening in 1986, Skipjack’s was the first Boston area restaurant to offer orange roughy, Mahi Mahi and is the originator of one of today’s most popular dishes, blackened tuna sashimi.  The restaurant quickly became a local favorite, and in 1988 Jeff Senior opened a second Skipjack’s in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay.

Skipjack’s was proud to open its current location at Patriot Place in Foxborough in September 2008.  With views of Gillette Stadium, this location is surrounded by excitement. Just steps from the movie theatre and nearby shops Skipjack’s offers easy access to everything Patriot Place offers.
